What's New in Marketing This Week - July 1st
This post contains all the source links and expanded details from Edition #56 of our weekly Marketing Roundup newsletter.
We keep external links out of the emails to ensure it lands in your inbox (not spam). Here’s where you can dig deeper into each story.

- Creator Economy & Social Updates: LinkedIn is testing suggested topic feeds.
- SEO News: Google Search Console’s page indexing report has been stuck for two weeks. Use the URL Inspection tool in the meantime.

Meta Outlines Best Practices for Multimedia Ads
Meta Outlines Best Practices
for Multimedia Ads
Meta updated its guidance for multi-media ads, which let advertisers upload up to 10 images and videos into a single ad set. Meta’s AI then automatically generates and tests multiple versions across placements and audiences, rather than requiring separate ads for each one.
Meta Adds Embedded Appointment Booking to Lead Ads
Meta Adds Embedded
Appointment
Booking to Lead Ads
Meta launched a feature that lets prospects book an appointment from a Facebook lead ad… immediately after submitting their information. It currently integrates with Calendly and HighLevel, with HubSpot support coming in August.
LinkedIn Tests Suggested Topic Feeds
LinkedIn Tests Suggested
Topic Feeds
LinkedIn is testing alternative feeds focused on specific topics, and recommended based on what you engage with or what’s trending in your field. LinkedIn posting activity grew 14% in Q1 2026, which means there’s more content competing for attention than ever. If suggested feeds roll out broadly, it creates another discovery path beyond the main feed… a way for your content to reach people who follow a topic but don’t follow you yet.

Google Search Console’s
Page Indexing Report Is Delayed
The page indexing report in Google Search Console hasn’t updated in over two weeks, with data stuck at June 11. This report normally shows which pages on your site Google can find and index, along with reasons why certain pages aren’t being indexed. Consider using the URL Inspection tool in Search Console if you want information now. It checks pages individually and isn’t affected by this delay.
OpenClaw LaunchesiOS and Android Apps
OpenClaw Launches
iOS and Android Apps
OpenClaw released standalone mobile apps, bringing its AI agent to the App Store and Play Store. You can now chat with the agent and grant it access to your phone’s camera, location, photos, contacts, calendar, and reminders directly in app. Previously, iOS users had to communicate with their agent through chat apps like Telegram or WhatsApp, since Apple’s stricter review process had blocked direct agentic tools over security concerns.
