OpenAI began testing ads in ChatGPT for logged-in adult users on Free and Go tiers in the U.S. Ads are clearly labeled, visually separated from answers, matched to conversation topics, and don’t influence ChatGPT’s responses. Advertisers only receive aggregate performance data—not user conversations or personal details. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Education users won’t see ads.
